It's so hard having anti-science relatives. It seems pointless to even try.

Oh, I feel for ya!

It isn't that my brother is anti-science, I guess he's confused science. He got ahold of some "news" that said the Covid vaccines were targeting the wrong things, that it's actually a vascular disease not respiratory, and therefore the current vaccines are all wrong and he's not going to take them.

In other words, The Stupid, It Burns! I just can't. He's also a believer that "healthy people don't get sick", and he's not remotely healthy. He's at least 75 lbs overweight, high blood pressure which he treats with beet juice, and seems to live off of omelettes and cheese crisps.

Paragon of health, that one is. Now, he could be +75 lbs if he were built like The Rock. Trust me, he ain't built like The Rock.

One of my work-study students at the library "won't get the vaccine because she has concerns" about their long-term safety. First off, she's not young. At least 50s. Second, the government has a safety net program if you get sick from any vaccination. And now, at the end of September, our university is requiring everyone to produce proof of vaccination or upload a test result every week. And we're not talking a $25 enzyme test, we're talking lab result PCR test.

It's just amazing that people won't take the vaccine that Their President spearheaded the development of - and He Himself took!
